Pre-Team
Pre-team program is for youth swimmers who are up to 10yo usually at Calphin Advanced or higher level, considering or preparing to join a year-round swim team. Compared to a serious year-round team swimmmer who practices more than five times a week with 1~2 hr for each practice, pre-team participants in the bay area usually swim twice or three times a week, 45min to 1hr for each swim practice. The coach-swimmers ratio in a conventional pre-team group is usually from 1:15 to 1:25, with up to ten swimmers sharing one lane. Similar to team swimmers, pre-team swimmers will get plenty of opportunities to increase the endurance, practice and streamline their strokes.
At Calphin new indoor facility in the east bay area, our quality and featured swim classes are so flexiblly structured, that pre-team minded parents can easily build up their own pre-team programs for their swimmers. Simply sign up 2~3 youth group swim classes per week at Advanced or higher level suitable for your swimmers that can fit into your busy schedule. These Calphin classes all last 1hr long with ample practice time to build up the endurance and strength. More importantly, your swimmers will receive sufficient instructions to improve and refine their strokes and swim skills, before they become a more committed year-round team swimmer trained with mass drill sets.
As a value-add in additional to building up your own flexible pre-team program, taking swim class in a nice indoor facility and obtaining Calphin quality swim instructions year-round, pre-team swimmers will also benefit from our multi-lesson discount as they take more than one class oer week, plus a smaller coach-swimmer ratio as well as less swimmers per lane, in comparison with other conventional pre-team programs.
