Pre-Bubbler Class:                   Max Ratio = 1:4                     Class Time: 30 min.                         Criteria: Potty trained, 4~8yo

This level is designed for first-time learn-to-swim students, who are new to  group lessons in a swimming pool. PBUB students may still be afraid of the water or cry due to lack of confidence in water if their parents are not present. The goal of the PBUB class is to introduce the students to the swimming pool, help them get comfortable and relaxed in water, and help them enjoy water games and activities in a group environment. PBUB students will learn to follow simple instructions from a non-parent instructor, put their face in the water, and blow bubbles for 3-5 seconds with their googles on. The instructor will teach in the water.

Bubbler Class:                           Max Ratio = 1:4                                 Class Time: 30 min.                        Criteria: BUB-1, 5~9yo

BUB students should be comfortable in the water and should not cry during group swim lessons if their parent is not The goal of BUB is to learn how to back float, blow bubbles, develop confidence in the water, and swim over 5 yards. In Bubbler classes the swimmers will play some water games while working on fundamental skills like bubbling, floating, kicking with a kickboard, and push-offs from the wall on their own. The instructor will teach in the water. The minimum age requirement can be waived if the swimmer is promoted from a current Calphin swim program by Calphin Deck Supervisor. For new students, the minimum age must be rounded up to 5yo.
